Given our financial restraints, how are we able to afford building a new educational facility for the Perelman School of Medicine?

Gail Morrison, MD
Senior Vice Dean for Education
Director of Academic Programs
Professor of Medicine
Perelman School of Medicine
The new medical education center to be constructed atop of the South Pavilion expansion of the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine is partially funded through philanthropy.
Over 16 million has been raised to date with the Health System offering matching dollars for fundraising efforts.

Such an integrated space will be unique among medical schools, and is an important investment in our core mission of education. This physical space will serve as a modern and vibrant hub where medical students, and faculty and staff from the University, PSOM, and Health System can connect and collaborate. Technology in this new space will be accessible to both clinical and research faculty.
